Kay Magee has built her career at the intersection of sports and education. She served as Director of Men’s Basketball Operations at Philadelphia University under her father and Hall of Fame Coach Herb Magee, gaining first hand experience in fundraising, event management, and program development.
Kay also holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mathematics from Villanova University, where she taught for many years and earned a reputation as a dedicated, high-impact educator.
Her university teaching career spans face-to-face and online courses, curriculum design, and instructional coaching.
With deep ties to Philadelphia sports, decades in higher education, and a lifelong belief that “you don’t have to be an athlete to be part of the game,” Kay founded The Sports Careers Academy to open doors for students and adults who want to explore careers in sports.
