Noreen Jordan brings a lifelong connection to sports and a career dedicated to student success to the Sports Careers Academy. Growing up with early exposure to professional athletics through her father, Billy Oakes, a respected NBA referee, she developed an appreciation for the many career pathways that exist beyond the playing field.
For more than three decades, Noreen has been an educator, mentor, and department leader where she guided curriculum, managed operations,
and supported both teachers and students in achieving their goals.
At the Sports Careers Academy, Noreen combines her background in education, data, and community engagement to help shape the organization’s vision, partnerships, and outreach. She is passionate about expanding access to opportunities in sports, ensuring that students of all ages and backgrounds can discover careers that inspire them and open doors to lifelong success.
